Why Gerard Kennedy Should Be Leader: Reason One

There is a blogger who is attacking Gerard Kennedy relentlessly, instead of blasting his candidate, Michael Ignatieff, I will showcase the reasons why Gerard Kennedy should be Liberal Leader. Instead of dividing the Liberal Party, I, like Gerard, will try to unite the Party.

Gerard Kennedy For Liberal Leader: Reason 1

He will win the next election.

There is no doubt or speculation. Gerard Kennedy is youthful, and not in the nominal way that Stephen Harper is. Gerard Kennedy is young in age and in challenging the old Liberal establishment. His innovative perspective will change the Liberal Party into a Party of the 21st Century and bring that image to the voting people. Gerard as leader would illustrate Liberal rejuvenation and guarentee Liberal victory.

Gerard Kennedy's policies are the best the Liberal Party has to offer Stephen Harper. Kennedy's stance on Afghanistan, Women's rights, and the Canadian wheat board are but a few. Gerard has alread begun his onslaught on Stephen Harper in these and other policy fields. I look forward to seeing harper quiver ober them in a Federal Election.

Gerard also dominates the speaking arena. He gives speeches that make you sit up straight and feel passionate about being Canadian. In every debate Gerard has won supporters and not divided the Party.

Gerard has no faults or flaws. Unlike the other candidates Gerard comes with no baggage. No old books or papers to haunt him, no long period in a failed government, just a great record. Some may claim his French is a weakness, but that is a poor-man's complaint. A criticism that has just been flogged over and over by those trying to find a fault in Gerard that they believe it is prominent. First the Globe and Mail states he is bilingual, that is good enough for the Constitution. Second I am bilingual, and I can understand Gerard. Third I have friends in Quebec who also find Gerard's French good. Not as good as the other three top candidates but good.

Gerard Kennedy has a presence. His appearance is one that has garnered him sexiest man awards. Image is important in elections, and Gerard has it.

I admire your over the top confidence in your guy and your positive messaging.

For the record, it seems pretty unlikely that the blogger you speak of is not an Ignatieff backer though he/she claims to be. There is only one candidate that that "blogger"/flamethrower has NOT been critical of, and it ain't Iggy.

With positives like that no need to go negative!
